VARN Industries: Abandoned Bird Sanctuary
"This is the second follow-up EP for Volume VIII, recorded at Xaos Beast's home studio in a jam session prior to the "Duet" sessions. The tracks, three with beats programmed live by Xaos Beast, were then mixed using VARN Portable Studios and spliced with audio from videos of an LSD study held by Magitek and Batrick at the Toxic Jungle in 2007. The resulting audio is supposed to evoke the feeling of chilling out in those woods with the Super Nalley Bros. while tripping on acid."

At first, we were just wandering around and Batrick had to take a leak, so I walked on ahead and he turned around and almost pissed on a baby opossum, which scurried up a tree. So we kept walking until we got to the Labyrinth entrance and looked at some turtles for a while. Then we ventured further into the woods than ever before. We found an old boardwalk and followed it until it dead-ended then started trekking through the woods again. We were about to give up on finding anything new, when at the same time we saw something unusual in the distance. Upon further inspection, we realized it was an abandoned bird sanctuary and shack. We fixed up the shack a little for future visits then went back down to the lake and found a bunch of empty beer cans and a case with one unopened and cold beer, which Batrick drank." - MAN3, journal entry 12-18-05 /
